The production plant, built in 2010 with an annual capacity of about 35,000 windows and an extension of 13,000 square meters, was entirely designed with maximum environmental efficiency, thanks to 1368 photovoltaic panels that annually compensate for about 80% of energy needs. In this way, in 2017 the company avoided emitting 151,616 kg of CO2 into the atmosphere, equivalent to about 500 trees planted.
In fact, in most homes with old fixtures, there is a large heat dispersion (up to 40%), which favors the increase of CO2 in the atmosphere and causes household bills to rise.
Just think that in Italy there are over 12 million residential buildings, of which almost 70% were built before the enactment of the anti-seismic and energy efficiency regulations, there would be many immediate benefits for the environment, and for the economy.
Today, being a window manufacturer means operating in a broader and more global context, which takes into account the impact of production processes and products on people’s well-being.
For this reason, protecting the environment is a constant and daily commitment for SCIUKER Frames. Wood, the raw material of its windows, grows only in properly managed and certified PEFC and FSC forests, in full respect of the territory and biodiversity, thanks to continuous and controlled reforestation.
